چکیده

In this paper, a solution for the oxygen stoichiometry control problem for Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cells is presented. The solution relies on the use of a reference model, where the resulting nonlinear error model is brought to a Takagi-Sugeno (TS) form using the non-linear sector approach. The TS model is suitable for designing a controller using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI)-based techniques, such that the resulting closed-loop error system is stable with poles placed in some desired region of the complex plane. Simulation results are used to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach. In particular, the PEM fuel cell can reach asymptotically the oxygen stoichiometry set-point despite all the considered stack current changes.

Water Management in the Cathode Side of a PEM Fuel Cell

A one dimensional isothermal mathematical modeling of cathode side of a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell is developed for the water management problem. Water transport is investigated in both cathode Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL) and membrane through solving appropriate equations for fluid flow and mass transport in GDL and water transport within the membrane. The gaseous mixture flowing in...

Modelling, Parameter Estimation and Validation of a 300w Pem Fuel Cell System

In this paper a 300W PEM FC Stack dynamic model is developed and implemented in MATLAB/Simulink. Using semi-empirical equations for modelling a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell is proposed for providing a tool for the design and analysis of fuel cell stack systems. The modelling results are compared with experimental results. The comparison shows good agreements between the modelling re...

A New High-order Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Model Based on Deformed Linear Models

Amongst possible choices for identifying complicated processes for prediction, simulation, and approximation applications, high-order Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy models are fitting tools. Although they can construct models with rather high complexity, they are not as interpretable as first-order TS fuzzy models. In this paper, we first propose to use Deformed Linear Models (DLMs) in consequence pa...

A Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Gain-Scheduler

AbstructIn the present paper we describe the design of a fuzzy gain scheduler for tracking a reference trajectory of a nonlinear autonomous system. The proposed fuzzy gain scheduling method has two major advantages over the existing crisp gain scheduling methods. First, it provides a general and formally motivated method for the interpolation of available local control laws into a global gain s...

Design of robust fuzzy Sliding-Mode control for a class of the Takagi-Sugeno uncertain fuzzy systems using scalar Sign function

This article presents a fuzzy sliding-mode control scheme for a class of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy which are subject to norm-bounded uncertainties in each subsystem. The proposed stabilization method can be adopted to explore T-S uncertain fuzzy systems (TSUFS) with various local control inputs. Firstly, a new design is proposed to transform TSUFS into sliding-mode dynamic systems. In addi...
